Excellent place to visit for information about and around Chesterfield. The " manned " desk operatives are really knowledgeable and they will even book you events that are going on near by. You can't miss the place it's opposite Chesterfield Parish Church. You know the one with the crooked spire
Small centre, knowledgeable staff - but not much to do for kids

A bit of a game to get to. On the outskirts of chesterfield with a very large post code, it must have been 3/4 of a mile down the road from the post code. Then when you do get there you have to drive up a rather steep hill, on a single lane road, with cars coming down the same road at you. With some exciting blind corners on a single lane road at the top. But you do get quite a nice view from the top of the hill and it is nice to see all the open green space's.
Very nice place to go sledging as the hills are perfect and snow often falls very smoothly onto them.

Visited for the evening to the food and drink. It was very nice a few stalls stayed open two bands played till 10 pm then fireworks was a great evening. Only disappointment was the loos not enough for the amount of people Lord knows how they coped during the day?
Nice day had by all. The sandpit and climbing frame area is great. Lots green space to have a game football. The kids loved the train ride too.

They are on top of a small hill, can be interesting getting up the single carriage lane when others are trying to get down. There is a small car park out front, with a barrier you have to get them to open it, but on the way out, it opens automatically on the way out. They have meeting rooms available some have a nice view across the valley. The venue is fully disabled accessible, with lifts and large doorways and they have a portable loop system if needed.
Good value. Well prepared.

One of chesterfields most important historical sites.
Quaint little place..free to enter. A little bit of history in an unexpected place. Only small so will only take up 15 minutes or so of your time unless they have an event on which I believe they do from time to time. There is someone there to tell you about its history.
